I’ll be spending a couple of days in Edinburgh (Scotland) soon, and this list by Richard Jobson seems like a good starting point for re-acquainting myself with the city:

There comes a time in every iPod owners life when they have to accept there is only so many times you can listen to that bloody Artic Monkeys album. If your ears need a break then you could do a lot worse than check out Walki Talki, a promising looking new site offering downloadable guided tours of major European cities in MP3 format. $3.99 gets you an audio tour and a printable map in PDF format. The numbers on the map match the track numbers for the tour so it’s easy to keep track of what you have and haven’t seen.
At the moment there are tours for some of the major European cities. Amsterdam, Berlin, Madrid, and more are covered in an informal, entertaining and often humourous style. Each tour has a short, downloadable sample so you can ‘try before you buy’ - I’m going to try out the Amsterdam Red Light Tour later this week.
